Irish Craftsmanship to Lift Your Spirits

The Waterford Colleen pattern, introduced in 1953, is renowned for its distinctive oval cuts, often referred to as "olive cuts." These elongated, oval-shaped facets encircle the bowl of the glass, creating a striking contrast with the intricate diamond cross-hatch design below. Designed to highlight aromas and fit comfortably in the hand, this glass is perfect for the whiskey, scotch and mezcal enthusiast. Lifting the glass, which weighs 1 pound, adds an element of dignity and importance to every sip.

These glasses were discontinued in 2018. In the 2000s, Waterford began integrating a seahorse into it's hallmark. These do not have the seahorse, dating them to pre-2000.

About the Maker
Founded in 1783 in Waterford, Ireland, Waterford Crystal epitomized excellence through the skill of engravers who spent years perfecting their craft. Irish glassworkers who emigrated to America brought their expertise, shaping the American Brilliant Cut Glass era. Revived in 1947, Waterford has since regained its status as a global luxury brand. Its patterns, such as Lismore, are celebrated for their elegance, and vintage pieces often increase in value. Despite modern challenges, Waterford’s timeless designs and connection to glassmaking heritage ensure its legacy remains a radiant testament to artistry and resilience.
