The Inspiration line of emerald green glasses by Anchor Hocking, known as Burple, features a swirled foot and bubble columns and was exclusively sold in the 1950s in department stores (as opposed to general stores). The Burple design is a version of the Boopie design of glassware.

About the Maker
Anchor Hocking Glass Company, established in 1905, became a prominent name in American glassware. Initially producing glass containers, it expanded into household items like dinnerware and bakeware. During World War II, Anchor Hocking supplied the military with mess kits and signal lenses. Post-war, it resumed consumer goods production, gaining fame for its iconic glass measuring cups and Fire-King glassware. Today, it continues to produce a wide range of glass products for both everyday and special occasions.
