Serve Your Aged Whiskey in 100 Year Old Glasses

These glasses date from the American Brilliant Cut Glass period (circa 1876–1917). The pattern, attributed to H.P. Sinclaire Jr., is known as Strawberry-Diamond and Fan, designed during his time at T.G. Hawkes & Company. Since this set lacks the T.G. Hawkes hallmark, it was likely produced by another prominent glassmaker of the era, such as Dorflinger & Sons, J. Hoare & Company, or Libbey Glass Company.

SUGGESTED USES:

  • Sazerac
  • Vieux Carré
  • Whiskey Neat
  • Whiskey Rocks

Condition Notes
For 100-year-old glasses these are in fantastic shape. There are minor, barely detecable wear related scratches on the bottoms, typical of glassware this old. One of the four has a tiny, barely perceptable "flea bite" on the rim.

About the Maker
Please refer to the short description above for some insights into the makers of this type of glassware. The exact maker of these glasses is Unknown. Since only a relatively small percentage of glassware, in particular stemware or drink ware, can be identified with a hallmark (an etched or engraved mark or signature somewhere on the glass, usually the foot), there is a lot of glassware that is labeled Unknown. As new information comes to our attention about anything labeled Unknown, we'll update the description.
